Something old. Something new. Something blue.
Before being repurposed, the wood used to craft this clock put in its fair share of blue collar hours as a heavy-duty industrial pallet before being left behind in the yard. These beautiful Hickory planks have been scrubbed behind the ears and crafted into one of our favorite minimalist-style clocks.
Then we decided to add something special: an exquisite tile featuring a juvenile Great Blue Heron. Give him a closer look and you'll see he's bursting with personality and charm, much like another Herron I once met: Professor Arlie Herron who lead the English Department at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga for many years and was one of the kindest, funniest, and most generous teachers a student could be lucky enough to have.
With that in mind, we decided to name this clock Arlie because we think they have something in common: personality and a classic style that is always appreciated.
A great little heron for a gigantically great Herron.
